Valor Christian senior Cole Sprout lowered his own all-time state meet record at the Colorado High School Activities Association 5A final, clocking 15:12.7 on the 5-kilometer layout at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Sprout, who captured his third career state title and second in a row in 5A, ran 15:16.1 last season. His performance helped Valor Christian finish 11th overall with 281 points.
