[Men's Cross Country] Jaeger, Blain pace No. 16-ranked Bears

Comments

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (Men's Cross Country) – The Shawnee State University men's cross country team used a pair of strong efforts by underclassmen harriers David Jaeger (FR/Liberty Township, Ohio) and Parker Blain (SO/Marietta, Ohio) to place two runners in the top 50 and five runners in the top 75 positions en route to a good showing at the 21st Annual Br. John Doyle Meet of Champions on the campus of Iona College in New Rochelle, New York Saturday morning.

Overall, the Bears would use the strong efforts to edge St. Francis (N.Y.) for ninth place in the event while finishing just five points behind host Iona for eighth place in the 10-team field despite going up a field full of NCAA Division I and Division III opponents over the course of the day.
