The men's cross country program at Shawnee State was again selected to finish at the top of the Mid-South Conference standings by coaches across the conference, as the Bears accumulated 100 points and 10 first-place votes to lead all teams in the MSC Preseason Cross Country Polls that were released Friday.

In being selected at the top of the heap, SSU accumulated a 14-point edge over Campbellsville (Ky.), who garnered 86 tallies and the additional first-place vote on the table. Cumberlands (Ky.)'s 81 points, Cumberland (Tenn.)'s 72 tallies, and Mid-South Conference newcomer Bethel (Tenn.), who notched 64 points, rounded out the top-five overall.
