The men's cross country program at Shawnee State garnered 370 points in the 2020 Men's Cross Country Coaches Preseason Top 25 Poll and claimed the 14th spot as a result of their point total in a poll release that was put out by national officials Thursday morning.

Shawnee State, who finished seventh in last season's NAIA National Championships, was the only Mid-South Conference program to garner points inside the Top 25. Campbellsville (Ky.), who finished as the conference runner-up to SSU in the 2019 Mid-South Conference Championships, collected 17 points in the receiving votes category.
