The Women's and Men's Cross Country travelled to Tallahassee, Florida on Friday to run in the Florida State Invitational. The teams competed against several NCAA Division I and Division II schools as well as other nationally ranked NAIA teams. The Women's team finished 21st out of 30 teams. Jozi Brown (SR/McConnelsville, Ohio) was the top-finisher for the Bears. Brown ran the 5k course in a time of 18:45.7 and placed 55th out of 280 total runners. Following Brown, Mikella Meddock (SO/Ashville, Ohio) (20:04.4, 154th), Elizabeth Middleton (21:15.1, 196th), Sarah Letchford (SO) (21:36.8, 209th ), and Deanna Hall (JR/Proctorville, Ohio) (21:40.7, 211th) wrapped up the top-5 finishers for the Bears. Shari Ritchey ( 21:45.9, 213th) and Paige Abbinante (FR) (22:26.4, 236th) rounded it out for the Women's team.
